Your old cuckoo clock and sitting and me waiting for it to go off
You letting me run into the kitchen to help myself to biscuits with a mischievous glint in your eye
Hope you find peace back together with nan and we will hold your memory in our hearts forever xx

Walking alleyways for bets and bon bons,
Scary teeth that seemed like a jack in the box,
The scent of cut grass competing with sausage roll aromas.
A hand made dolls house,
The dart board, and snooker on the telly,
Bread and butter with every dinner,
Laughing so much at your own jokes we'd wait for punchlines with tears down our faces.
Countdown viewing, fitting in with afternoon snoozes,
Tools and wooden steps,
Your love for family, simplicity and laughter,
Your love for Nan.
So many memories, in our hearts forever xx

So many memories of a Wonderful Dad.
Your coming home on leave in your RAF uniform. Making kites to fly. Teaching us to fish for sticklebacks. Your homemade coconut ice, peppermint creams and fudge as a Sunday afternoon treat. Buying fizzy drinks from the Corona lorry. Your love of growing fruit and vegetables and your greenhouse. Making Rhubarb wine and the exploding Gooseberry Champagne! Turning your lawn into a crazy golf course for the school holidays. Playing Canasta, Newmarket and Yahtzee. The dartboard case you made for the hours of fun and the snooker table we all enjoyed. Your jokes and saying "the old ones are the best" as we all groaned! Your carpentry skills in converting an old bus into a campervan for numerous holidays away together.
Passing on to me your love of words - reading; writing; poems; puzzles; quizzes and crosswords.
Most of all I will always remember your love and enjoyment of a simple family life, your twinkly eyes, your fun and the laughter
May you now find peace and contentment back with Mum. Forever in our hearts and thoughts xx
